Connect the visit to the claim.
Revenue cycle work crosses several desks: scheduling, clinical documentation, coding, submission and payer follow-up. Gateway helps wound care and primary care practices keep those handoffs organized, with a clear owner for each open item.
Use support across the cycle or focus on a specific backlog. We work with your existing billing team and systems.
Medical billing and revenue cycle support
- Visit reconciliation. Match completed visits to signed records and charge entries.
- Claim preparation. Organize demographics, coverage, provider details, place of service and the codes approved by your team.
- Submission. Submit through your system with authorization, or prepare claims for your biller to release.
- Payer follow-up. Track rejections, denials, missing records and unpaid claims through resolution.
One workflow across care settings.
Home visits, clinic appointments and facility rounds can involve different records and billing details. We keep the care setting, rendering clinician, documentation and authorization information connected to each encounter.
For practices working across several locations, mobile wound care operations and scheduling and referral records support the same handoff.
AI-assisted review, with accountable decisions.
AI-assisted workflows can flag missing documentation, possible code conflicts, modifier questions and authorization tasks for review. The clinician and billing team assess each flag before a claim is released.
Your clinicians author the medical record and direct care. Your practice approves coding and remains responsible for claims submitted under its identifiers. See AI billing and coding review for the workflow.
Start where claims are getting held up.
We review your current billing process, care settings and outstanding work, then define responsibilities and reporting. A useful starting point may be visit-to-charge reconciliation, an authorization queue or denial follow-up.
Common questions
Do we need to replace our current biller?
No. Gateway can work alongside your biller or billing company. We agree on who prepares, reviews, submits and follows up on claims before work begins.
Who submits the claims?
Gateway can submit through the practice’s billing system with authorization, or prepare claims for your biller to release. Services delivered by Gateway’s own providers are billed by Gateway; independent practices retain their own billing arrangements.
Can you support both office and mobile visits?
Yes. The workflow records the actual care setting and rendering clinician for each encounter, then connects the signed documentation, charge entry and claim follow-up.
How do we measure progress?
We track agreed measures such as completed visits awaiting charges, missing documentation, rejected claims and aging unpaid claims. These show where work is moving and where the practice needs to act.
