Dr. Zanbrakji is a board-certified Acute Care and Trauma Surgeon serving as Medical Director for Gateway Wound Care, bringing surgical-level expertise to wounds across the full spectrum of acuity and complexity.

His experience spans diabetic foot ulcers, venous stasis and chronic venous insufficiency ulcers, arterial and ischemic ulcers, pressure injuries, and surgical, traumatic, and other non-healing chronic wounds. Dr. Zanbrakji brings extensive hands-on experience in surgical and non-surgical debridement, along with expertise in negative pressure wound therapy, and selecting and applying skin substitutes and grafts matched to each wound’s etiology and healing trajectory. He treats every wound in a multidisciplinary fashion, ensuring all elements of care are addressed for efficient, lasting healing, and collaborates closely with experienced advanced practice providers to ensure consistent, high-quality treatment across every patient encounter.

Dr. Zanbrakji holds multi-state medical licensure and leads Gateway’s clinical expansion into new markets, bringing the same standard of surgical rigor to every wound care patient he treats.

Sarah Scribner serves as Director of Strategic Development & Partnerships for Gateway Wound Care, where she leads the organization's community engagement, strategic partnerships, and market development efforts. Working alongside healthcare providers, hospitals, post-acute partners, community organizations, and health system leaders, she focuses on building collaborative relationships that improve access to care for medically complex and high-risk patients.

A graduate of the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, Sarah's background spans healthcare, nonprofit leadership, community development, and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Gateway Wound Care, she held leadership roles at Washington University in St. Louis and Steadfast City, where she built collaborative partnerships, led community engagement initiatives, secured grant funding, and worked alongside healthcare, civic, and nonprofit leaders to develop people-centered solutions to complex community challenges.

At Gateway, Sarah is helping shape a new model of community-based healthcare that integrates advanced wound care, home-based primary care, chronic disease management, and care coordination. Guided by her social work background, she is committed to addressing the social, medical, and systemic factors that influence health—working to strengthen continuity of care, reduce avoidable hospitalizations, and improve quality of life for patients throughout the St. Louis region.

Daniel Orlov’s background spans investment and complex commercial real estate transactions. He later built NYC Wound into one of New York City’s most trusted and well-known mobile wound care companies.

Through that experience, Daniel saw the dislocation in healthcare firsthand: good providers working in separate lanes, limited coordination, and patients too often treated as a diagnosis rather than seen as a full person. He founded Gateway Wound Care to build a more connected, accountable approach.

Gateway is being developed as a hybrid care model centered on access, clinical quality, and coordination. Daniel’s role is simple: put the right clinical leaders in place, build the operation around them, and make sure patients do not get lost between providers.
